2020 Year In Review - January
January 2020 started off with a couple of mid-winter ski trips up to Red Heather with Edward, William, and myself.
We also had our unsuccessful Brew trip in January where we had a super late start in really slow conditions so didn't make it to the hut. This lead to us making an improvised snow burial site for us to spend the night in. This actually worked pretty well except that the roof sagged throughout the night which I really didn't like and I had a cold night. We made fondue that night over my trusty old Craigslist MSR stove in there which was good. Next time I will not sleep by the door with the coldest sleeping bag though.
January also had us still working in the office at Lulu. I was also living in Squamish at the time, so had to make the drive from Downtown Vancouver back to my place in Squamish generally in the dark in my trusty ol' Mazda Protege5. I didn't actually hate this, but it did take up a lot of time.
