2020 Year In Review - November
⬅️ October | ⬆ Overview | ➡️ December
November 1st Alex and I went to the Malamute which started off really nice with some super classic cracks which were for the most part dry. We then decided that the cliff we were on was just too dry, so we rappelled 3 wet pitches down into something much damper and more our style.
November also had some pretty early snow in the mountains, so my parents, bother, and I hiked up Seymour to check out the snow and the weather. Both were not bad, and we ran into some friends of my dad's on the way down which is always nice. They forgot their poles, so my dad lent them his. I also remember that we drove up separately due to the whole COVID situation.
Then a little later in November, Alex, Frauke, and I decided we're officially a bubble and went up to Red Heather. Parking was absolutely nuts, but the weather and conditions were really nice. The Germans were on snowshoes and I was on skis, but we all had fun. Frauke wrote up a really nice trip report for the trip and sent it to my dad and he forwarded it to everyone he knows VIA his email newsletter The Daily Virus.
Then since that worked out well we took my Subaru for another drive and did Mulligan too.
